Non-Cash Expenses

The Non-Cash Expense section of our process should only include depreciation and amortization expenses... In some rare cases certain manufacturing firms will have depreciation expense inside of "cost of goods sold" with a corresponding "Statement" inside the return that breaks out the cost of goods sold components including any depreciation expense. However this is relatively rare.

The tip that directs you to line 19 to locate the "non-cash expenses" is there to let you know that these figures (amortization and depreciation) will be found here. However, all of the line items in line 19 are not to be included.

Most of the line items on the attached form, would fall in the category of Officer Compensation expenses.(i.e. Travel, personal vehicle, meals, entertainment, health and life insurance)
